What is PES? A different type of Photo editing services by Pixmango.

 PES stands for Photo Editing Studios. It is a part of Pixmango amongst many other sections. We have a quality and dedicated team. They have experience of more than a decade in post-production industry.

 

I recall some the experiences about decade. We had customer giving .CR2 files. If you are wondering what are .CR2 files? These are the raw files of Canon.

Then it was learned that not only Canon but every camera has raw format called Camera raw. To open you needed Photoshop plugin from Adobe’s site.  I had always thought Adobe were connected to Graphics design. They are but recently, some years they bought Magento. The PHP ecommerce platform and it is called Adobe Commerce.

 Now that’s totally different story. The good old days 95-2017, whilst every tech was almost free. Life is a interesting journey for techies, it changes rapidly. I felt sad when MySQL was acquired by Oracle. This is an emotion techno crats understand. Open source feels like it belongs to techno crats: developers and It professionals.  We have a voice then.

Coming back to .CR2, or .NEF how do you open them?

You need install Adobe Camera Raw.

1. Create an account in adobe.

2. Save it Gmail or somewhere you get it.

3. Login and go to Adobe’s site.

4. Download and install.

5. But you have to see version of Camera.

6. You need following info :

• Photoshop version

• OS version

• Camera name and version.

• Match the correct camera raw with correct Photoshop version.

• Then you can open em’.

The Quality Control Process.

 

 1. Initial Submission (Client)

   - Client uploads raw photos or submits requirements.

   - Files received through email, online forms, or a cloud service (e.g., Dropbox, WeTransfer).

 

 2. Photo Editing (Editor)

   - Clipping Path: Remove background or isolate objects in the image.

   - Color Correction: Adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and color balance.

   - Retouching: Remove imperfections, fix skin tones, and enhance details.

   - Other Edits: Any custom requests (e.g., shadow adjustments, image resizing).

 

 3. First Review (Editor)

   - Editor double-checks their work for accuracy and completeness.

 

 4. Quality Control (QC)

   - QC Team/Manager Reviews: A designated QC person checks the photo for consistency, accuracy, and quality (clipping paths, color corrections, retouching).

   - Feedback to Editor: If necessary, feedback is sent for revisions.

 

Three QCs-. Step 4 is repeated three times before going to PM.

 

 5. Approval (Production Manager)

   - Once QC is complete, the Production Manager reviews the final edits for overall quality and client specifications.

   - Approval: If everything is correct, the images are approved.

 

 6. Delivery to Client

   - Upload: Files are uploaded to Dropbox, WeTransfer, or FTP.

   - Link Creation: A download link is generated and shared with the client.

   - Confirmation: Client confirms receipt and reviews the work.

 

 7. Finalization

   - Any final revisions requested by the client are handled.

   - Completed project is archived for reference.

 

This process ensures a smooth workflow, quality assurance, and client satisfaction.

 

It is not enough I go talking here’. The main thing is ‘proof is in the pudding’ so if you do have many pictures to edit do not spend your time in manual work, instead concentrate on creativity and business development. As an owner don’t involve yourself in work but in management and running the business.

 

How can you trust PES?
